Since 2008, ORINOX’s goal is to expand the company and get new markets all over the world. That is why ORINOX is hiring more and more V.I.E (Volunteer for International Experience) as Business Developers. We just interviewed Julien AZNAR who was until last month one of our V.I.E in Canada.
Julien AZNAR is a Business Development Engineer who just finished a V.I.E in Canada for 18 months. We had the chance to interviewed him while he was in Chateaubriant.
Can you quickly present yourself?
Hello, my name is Julien AZNAR, I am 25 years old and I come from Savoie (Bourg-Saint-Maurice). I almost did all my education in Annecy where I graduated in 2016.
How did you get into ORINOX?
I was looking for an experience abroad so becoming a V.I.E (Volunteer for International Experience) was the best opportunity for me. Then I decided to be a V.I.E in North America and if possible in Canada. ORINOX was offering V.I.E contract as a Business Development Engineer in Calgary (Canada) and it fitted perfectly with me.
Why did you choose to work for ORINOX?
ORINOX was looking for someone who could work on his own and who would be able to develop the company in Canada in order to create a subsidiary (company) and hire new employees. The opportunity to handle such responsibilities and to be a V.I.E in Canada oriented my choice toward ORINOX.
Did you enjoy your year experience as a V.I.E in Canada?
I truly enjoyed my time in Canada. It has been really fulfilling, both professionally and personally. It was the work experience I was seeking, so I am really happy and proud to have done it.
Can you explain tell us what a Business Developer does?
A Business Developer has to create new opportunities for the company, attract new customers and increase the client portfolios. A Business Developer must be attentive to customers needs in order to provide them the best solutions and services. We always work hands in hands with engineers who can share their expertises and knowledge.
What do you like best about your job?
In a few words: autonomy, challenge, management, pleasure.
What motivates you on a daily basis?
What motivates me everyday is that in North America, we have to build everything. So everything is possible and there is a lot to do. We have few clients and my goal is to attract new customers and to increase the existings portfolio. Once again, all this is only possible by working with more technical people who bring real credibility through their expertise.
What is the project you are most proud of?
I am proud to have been able to create and open the Canadian subsidiary with the recruitment of new employees.
Within a fast-changing market, and because of the oil price increase, the growth of AVEVA and the growing needs of digitalization solutions in the countries of the Persian Gulf, ORINOX decided to develop the ORINOX market in Dubai in January 2019.
That is why Younes HAMDANI recently joined ORINOX to be a Business Development Engineer in Dubai as a V.I.E.
Thanks to our participation in AVEVA events during the “AWC Dubai” and “WFES” in January 2018, “Business France” in March 2018, we were able to develop an offer adapted to the GCC zone.
