MOGSEC 2016: Meeting with Malaysian Oil & Gas giants

Organized in close collaboration with national operator PETRONAS, the 3rd MOGSEC was held in Kuala Lumpur from 28 to 29 September 2016. The opportunity for Orinox to meet the Malaysian oil companies and PETRONAS.

Malaysia is the second-largest Oil & Gas producer in ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) and one of the world’s top LNG (Liquified Natural Gas) producers. The industry is characterised by PETRONAS’ stability and an emphasis on enhanced oil recovery, marginal fields and deep-water developments, making Malaysia an attractive market for higher-value services. The country possesses a strong ecosystem of services and equipment companies that support the needs of the Oil & Gas value chain, both domestically and regionally.

In view of the favourable market conditions, the MOGSEC event was launched in 2012 by the country’s premier trade association The Malaysian Oil & Gas Services Council (MOGSC). MOGSC’s agenda was to use MOGSEC as a platform to help elevate Malaysia into the region’s Oil & Gas hub. Showcasing locally based technology and services, MOGSEC 2016 will continue to cement Malaysia’s strategic regional position in the Oil & Gas service sector.

AVEVA was also present at this show, enabling visitors to discover ENGAGE, “the future for decision-making, throughout the life cycle of your installations”.
