In late 2015, AVEVA launched the latest version of their 3D plant design software, AVEVA E3D 2.1. Our team has spent the past several months implementing the vast capabilities of this new generation, and we have been impressed with the results.
AVEVA E3D 2.1 builds upon the flagship PDMS and E3D platforms by introducing new tools for integrating laser scan data to support the Digital Asset for multidisciplinary industrial brown field projects.
The Hyperbubble adds a 3D dimension to the Trusted Living Point Cloud by integrating multiple Bubble Views to visualize laser scan data. It is now possible to walk through a realistic virtual 3D representation of the scanned site that is created by the point cloud data of multiple overlapping laser scans. The result is sophisticated, high-resolution visualization like the Bubble View, with the added dimension of movement within the space. In addition, brown field projects can be executed more effeciently using laser data demolition tools and Drawings embedded with laser data.
Designers will find an array of improved capabilities at their disposal. Interactions with the model are improved with a new Powerwheel, Powercompass, and Properties grid. The new Structural and Supports applications make it easier to add elements to the model. The processes are streamlined to perform clash checks, measure objects, and modify industrial plants from Brown Field clients are streamlined.
An accurate digital asset within E3D 2.1 ensures simple fabrication and installation. Our designers have found that these tools optimize and streamline the design process, delivering time and cost savings while improving data consistency.
AVEVA E3D 2.1 provides an impressive array of 3D graphics and interface technologies to deliver a comprehensive and tightly integrated solution.
